Super Smash Bros Tournament Information and Rules

Thank you for your interest in OCHC's annual Super Smash Bros Tournament! If you haven't already pre-registered, you can do so by e-mailing Michael Royston at supersmash_at_hillcouncil.com. Make sure you indicate your team of two if you have one or single entrants can enter on their own and be paired at the event.

The tournament will be taking place on Wednesday, February 10th from 6:30-10:30 PM in Covel Grand Horizon Room. Registration begins at 6 PM if you did not pre-register before the event. Game-play will begin at 6:30 PM.

You can get drawing vouchers for great prizes by just:
attending the event (1)
advancing in the tournament (1)
pre-registering (3)
bringing your own controller (3)
bringing an extra controller to share (5)
bringing a Wii (10)

If you're able to bring a Wii or your own controller, please e-mail Michael Royston at supersmash_at_hillcouncil.com and let him know when you register!

Rules and Regulations

Rules are subject to change at any time.

3 stock.
6 minutes.
Items are turned to off and none.
Team attack is on.
Non Finals/Semi-Finals matchs are double elimination.
All non-finals and semi-finals matches are one match.
Finals and semi-finals are best of two out of three.
If time runs out, the winner is determined by stock.
If Sudden Death comes up the winner will be decided by Sudden Death
Meta Knight's Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned.
Stalling is banned.
Stalling is defined as any action that deliberately avoids all conflict as to make the game unplayable. Running from an opponent to get to a better position is not considered stalling, but using chain grabs infinitely against a wall (excessively beyond around 300%) or using Sonic's Neutral B repeatedly underneath the stage is.
In Finals/Semi-Finals, Both teams pick characters at the same time for the first match, and after that the winner of the last match picks first and losers pick second.

Castle Siege
Halberd
Lylat Cruise
Pokemon Stadium (Melee)
